A large watercolour of the 12th century ruins on the outskirts of the small town of Lieston situated within the Heritage Coastal region of Suffolk. I was taken by the warm evening light hitting the arches of the old windows and painted this from drawings and photographs taken before thee darkness came down. The field in the foreground is used to take the eye into the painting which is predominantly middle distance. The painting comes unframed.
