In an abstracted way I express the realm of a beautiful Vermont lake at the end of the summer when colors start to change. I use contrast between warm and cold, soft and sharp, thin and thick, light and dark in order to built a harmonious painting between the reality and abstract. Part of a diptych, Hidden Pond Hues II can be displayed individually or together with Hidden Pond Hues I for a dramatic, statement making effect on a large wall.
