I was inspired to paint this impressionist oil painting from a treasured vintage 1960’s studio photograph. The two figures kept echoing the same feelings I had for Picasso‚Äôs painting: The Lovers, where he captured such a sweet moment of female innocence and male tenderness. I wanted my painting to capture a moment of mutual sensual and emotional strength between two lovers.
