Sun Spots was inspired by the many wild cheetahs I have watched and sketched in Africa, often in the heat of the day. The circular composition of the painting echoes that of the cheetahsÕ spots, the glowing sun and the pose of the cats. Vibrant reds, oranges and yellows set the mood for the painting, but the washes of color also create a little mystery, allowing for the use of your own imagination too (framed).
